In December I hosted a holiday party. In doing so I swore up and down to myself I would only invite 10 people. Well that was such a lie. I mean 10 people that’s just my family not including friends. I ended up inviting 25 people and my friends well they invited people and it was about 35 ish in my small apartment.
I didn’t want to burden my guests with bringing a side dish or having it be a potluck style event around the holidays. Most of my friends have kids and lets face it I am lucky if I remember where I put my keys half the time. So I didn’t want them to have to cook or bring something. If they insisted I told them they could bring a dessert.
I just wanted to enjoy my company and celebrate life, love, and a happy and healthy holiday season. As I am truly rich with my family and friends. I didn’t want to cook or wash dishes or go shopping. I wanted it all but I didn’t want to deal with the stress of it.
I was freaking out as its my normal fashion when throwing an event. While doing so I remembered a cute Mexican mom and pop restaurant that caters. Not to mention I had their tacos a few times with my boys and I loved them. Very reasonably priced, fresh, and full of flavor. What was there to lose?
When I called the place I spoke to Francisco who is the owner of Tacos & Co . I told him that I had this crazy idea to host 35 people in my small apartment and I didn’t want to cook and its four days out from my event and if it was too late to cater? I was expecting him to say it was and I was crazy to call a week before Christmas and four days before my event and think it could be pulled off. When he said, sure that wouldn’t be a problem. I starting singing a verse of Hallelujah chorus. One less thing for me to do!
For my Feliz Navidad party I had the burrito tray, taco tray, ceviche, chips, salsa, guacamole including paper plates, napkins, forks and spoons. This was one of those no stress events. I really just enjoyed my guests and had very minimal clean up and absolutely no prep with food. It was nice not to stress and enjoy.
With three locations; Irvine, Ladera Ranch and Newport Beach its easy to find a location near you. I love how Tacos & CO. also gives back to their community with fundraising as well as offering student discounts for the local high schools and colleges. It’s a cute little mom and pop resturant packed with such flavor and zest your taste buds will be doing the salsa! HA pun intended.
If you are looking for Mexican food on a budget whether you are dining out or want it catered for your next event. You really need to try Taco’s & CO. A family owned and operated business that continues to invest in their community.
Very casual atmosphere with a huge side of customer service at no extra charge! I cant’ stress enough how great the food was. How affordable it was and the no fuss with catering.
