For my son’s 10th birthday he wanted to go to
Howie’s Game Shack It was a utopia – the epitome of what a “MAN CAVE” should be. I can’t tell you how thrilled my son was when he was told he was having his birthday at Howie’s.
Howie’s is THE place for gamers to come and play!
I am not a gamer but it seems like every boy from age 3 through 99 has told me this is the ultimate gaming experience. Ok I haven’t talked to anyone who is 99 but you get the point.
The entire place is dedicated to gaming They have every game and system you can imagine. Best of all, when you have a party at Howie’s Game Shack you dot have to worry about fighting the crowds as they reserve a designated space for you and the elated birthday crew!
Even more amazingly, each player gets their own full sized TV and a chair to relax in while they play!
Even my three year old was entranced! This was surprising in and of itself as he rarely sits still for more than 5 minutes at a time. He played tone of the Lego games.
Keep in mind that you’re not obligate to stay in your party room. If you so desire, you can choose to roam around during the party. Some of the boys wanted to play the games on the PC. Not surprisingly given my earlier confession regarding my gaming knowledge, I had no idea what they were playing.
Best of all, the children aren’t left unsupervised, free to play any game they desire. Instead, our always attentive and conscientious party host asked if there were any games they boys weren’t allowed to play. I checked with the parents and I was thrilled to see that the host made sure everything they played was age appropriate.
As you can imagine, I had my doubts about throwing a party with so many boys int his age group. However, the kids were having so much fun that they didn’t have time to misbehave! I didn’t have to lift one finger for this party (other than when I took the pictures of course)
Even better, the party hosts did everything from set up to clean up. This was by far the easiest – and among the most enjoyable – parties I’ve ever had. I didn’t have to worry about anything. That’s customer service with a HUGE smile – both from them and from me! In addition to set up and clean up, they served the pizza and sodas and helped with the cake.
The kids were even served right where they were sitting. I couldn’t believe it. I told my son to not get used to this!
He had the greatest time with his friends!
He certainly felt like a king for a day – thanks to Howie’s Game Shack for making his birthday wishes come true!
When the party was over the boys had to be pried away as they didn’t want to leave. Even on the way out they kept telling my son that it was the best party ever!
As an added bonus for the birthday child, my son got a free pass to come back to Howie’s for another visit.
At the end of the party, I went to tip the party host for the exceptional service provided. Imagine my surprise when I was told that they aren’t allowed to accept tips. I’d never have expected this given the extremely friendly and attentive service we received. The service was so great that I even tried to convince the manager to allow me to tip them but they wouldn’t hear of it.
If you are looking for an amazing place to have a party for your child who loves games look no further. Not only will be nominated by your child (and every child fortunate enough to be invited) as parent of the year – you will also get to keep your sanity. This is the epitome of the no hassle, ultra-fun party.

You can select from the one hour pass, three hour pass or the best value the all day pass – with prices ranging from $7 – $20. Howie’s is open from 11am – 12 midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 11 am – 2 am Friday and Saturday.
