Dean and Kelly are back and this time it really does smell like waffles and culinary goodness! Bruxie was originally located in RSM they have since located to Irvine, in the Heritage Plaza. My first experience with Bruxie was a no go. I walked by their restaurant in RSM and it smelled so bad, like really bad. I lost my nerve to eat it was that nasty. It wasn’t Bruxie it was that particular area and the smell was, well lets just say if I could bottle it up and spray it every time I was about to eat I wouldn’t be 30lbs over weight. Rumor from my friends whom live in RSM say its a building issue. Whatever it is I will personally not dine near that area.
When I was invited to their new location in Irvine it was a breath of fresh air literally!!! I was so excited to hear about the new menu items and try them out.
Dean was sharing his inspiration for the unique and bold option choices for Bruxie’s new signature salads.

Dean going above and beyond his Chef duties. My son had the chicken tenders and that is what they were so tender yet delicately spiced. Crispy on the outside, yet warm, moist and delicious on the inside.
Ok so when my son was told to try the Waffle cut potato Fry with Custard I was thinking Gross! I didn’t want to insult the person who suggested we tried it so I took one for the team. I tried it thinking it would be such an odd combination. For the first time I have a lack of words to describe the “odd couple” well its just that…however its delicious. You have to try it for yourself.
For Dessert I had the Lemon Cream & Berries.
Ok that angle doesn’t do it justice how about now?
My mouth fainted ! It was so delicious. MY boyznberry had a little bite too….. he liked it as well!
