It was a fantastic day for barbeque at The Queen Mary for the annual tasting competition. We had the pleasure to go to the 5th Annual West Coast BBQ. Grill masters from around the county gathered at the Queen Mary last weekend to show their stuff. The event was from 11am -6pm. The winds were calm and grills were on fire with the fresh aroma of sweet, and savory Texas and Memphis BBQ in the air.
The bacon wrapped meatballs and the smoked bratwurst got my vote.
Everyone was jubilant with their best featured BBQ items and no one left hungry. Next year has my vote to go. Get ready to set sail and anchor down for a foodie adventure. No boarding passes needed. With delicious food, live entertainment, a friendly competition for the best bbq, and a spot for the kiddies well, with games galore, bounce houses and face painting to name a few. So many fun activities for the whole family. It was a pleasure to meet fellow barbecue fanatics. We were also granted complimentary access to the Queen Mary after sampling the cuisine.
Make sure you bring enough cash for sampling the goods. Tickets are accurately priced and its usually two to three tickets for a tasting. Beverages are an added cost. Parking is also additional and so worth it.
