Recently I had the opportunity to try out f.i.n.s Poke Fusion . It was FINtastic!!!! Their name says it – Fresh, Ingredients N’ Seafood.
The concept is simple and has waves of flavor and innovation. You have the option of getting a Fins signature bowl.

There are five steps when you create your bowl.
Step 1:
Choose your size; 3, 5 or 7 ounces of fish.

Step 4:
Choose your sauces: The Kialuea, Molokai, Sesame Shoyu, Citrus Wasabi. All the sauces are speciality made and are a family secret, besides the citrus wasabi.
Step 5:
Choose your toppings; Cucumber, Japanese Pickle, Yellow Onion, Green Onion, Garlic Chips, Mixed greens, Sesame Seeds, Orange, Lemon, Serrano Chiles, Edamame, Pickled Ginger, Wasabi Pea Powder, Avocado, Masago, Sesame Crusted Cream Cheese and Seaweed salad.
I created my own bowl it had Ahi Poke and Octopus in it with other items from the steps above. Poke is a raw fish salad that is traditionally served in Hawaiian cuisine. I spent my childhood summers on the shore of Kaanapali, Maui. So I am very selective when it comes to my seafood. I was beyond surprised at the extremely high quality of poke that f.i.n.s. provided. It was equally delicious. It made me reminisce of my time on Maui eating my favorite Poke and enjoying my tropical paradise.
F.i.n.s. Poke Fusion has two locations. Mission Viejo and Fullerton. Fullerton has a drive thru, however you can not create your own bowl. You would need to pick from one of the 6 signature dishes. Which are pretty tasty.
Don’t forget to stop by on their Taco Tuesdays. Its worth the experience to add a taco onto your bowl. Its hard to decide which one I liked more. Both are in the “Swimming” ha get it…instead of “running”.
I took my baby boyznberry. Most of the protein is raw however the shrimp was cooked and that is what my son had. He really enjoyed his Poke bowl and best of all he loved that he created it his way.
I would totally recommend this place to all of you, unless you have a seafood allergy. This is hands down one of my newest obsessions. I was clearly living under a starfish to not know I was literally miles from my own little paradise. I don’t want you to make that same mistake.
My friend who “Doesn’t do raw” Fish couldn’t get enough. She gave it two fins up!
